Greetings,

My name is Ash, and I’m very happy to share my experience with Black Business Enterprises. I am a Community Navigator with the Minneapolis Police Department. I work alongside Investigators and Officers in the Homicide and Assault Units. In my role, I assist Investigators with victims and survivors of crime that need support in addition to the criminal investigation. Often individuals are traumatized by the event, and don’t know how to move forward during this difficult time. My unit depends 100% on outside resources that support the needs of these victims. This is how I came to know Nancy Korsah from BBE.

Nancy and her AMAZING team exceeded my expectations! I initially came to her for support on a homicide case, and the victims and witnesses needed to be relocated. Nancy and her team were able to provide wrap-around support for this young family and provide them with peace of mind while the investigation was going on. I also have several cases involving Domestic Violence victims and have been able to get support from BBE. They not only helped these victims in their time of need, they did it with so much care, patience, and empathy. Victims were able to recover from the incident and were treated with respect and dignity.

I have put Nancy and her team at the top of my list of resources for victims I encounter. However, I know there are limited funds for what they can do. I HIGHLY recommend Black Business Enterprises be considered for funds needed to fulfill their mission to empower our community impacted by crime. I personally have benefited from working with this amazing organization.
